Radakka Jr.


 

Mission Statement: To develop to the fullest potential the spiritual, intellectual, and physical ability of each child. To help children set goals for themselves for future undertakings.

 

Group Goal: The focal point of all education is the growth and development of the human person. We strive to accomplish this within a Christian perspective, we seek the support and cooperation and all children and their parents to form collaborative team to succeed in this mission and obtain the following objectives:

  • To educate the whole child spiritually, culturally, intellectually, physically emotionally and socially
  • To generate a strong sense of responsibility and self-discipline in our youth
  • To generate an atmosphere of mutual respect at all times, developing a sense of self-respect in the children and a respect and appreciation of each person’s uniqueness
  • To follow the teachings of the church and standards set forth by the Diocese of Brooklyn and Queens
  • To inculcate a sense of community among youth, parents, leaders, and RADAKKA
  • To Foster spiritual growth through the application of God’s Word to all of life.

Activities


As a youth group, Radakka Jr. does many activities to foster the spiritual, social and cultural life of each youth.

  • Adoration and pray to the rosary once a month
  • Charismatic prayer / praise and worship.
  • Life in the spirit seminars
  • Participate in Charismatic youth conferences to help us grow spiritually.
  • Host youth day conferences.
  • RADAKKA Jr. Choir sings the Haitian mass every third Sunday of the month. we sing in French, Haitian Creole, and Latin
  • Participate in nursing home and shelter visits during thanksgiving and Christmas seasons.
